
Style Guide
In the context of the Web, a style guide functions in much the same way as a style guide for the
English language, instructing users about the rules and structure of the language. Web pages conform to
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) style, although the pressure is on for Web browsers to be able to
integrate the more complex SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language) as well.
